So I figured this out...

So I figured out how to blog. This site made it really easy for even my late-night investigation, and I am now officially Ghana-blogging.

The countdown begins: 25 days until lift-off!

I have started to make various lists of things to bring/not bring/do before I leave/do when I get there/etc. I had my TB test today (as in they pricked me with a little bubble of fluid on my left forearm, which they will look at again on Wednesday morning). That concludes my pokes and prods with needles prior to my trip. I also got my anti-malarial pills at the pharmacy today with help from my mother and our health insurance (4 months of anti-malarial pills=very expensive; avoiding malaria and staying happy and healthy on my trip=priceless). I already hate my blogging a little bit, because it reads like I sound when I'm waitressing. Oh well. I also have a sprained ankle, which is luckily (knock on wood) starting to feel better. Hopefully, I'll be back at work waiting tables for my last two weeks or so so I can make some more money before I leave. It's been really frustrating to be off my feet for the last week or two, but it's what I needed I guess to ensure that I can walk easily and comfortably onto that 11 hour flight. Do what you have to do.

This concludes my opening blog. More to come, I'm sure, on my last-minute packing issues and maybe some hopes and dreams. Probably just more of this pseudo-livejournaling (remember those?) and pictures ASAP!

Thanks for reading!
